Diagnosis is an interactive event that brings physicians and students together to tackle complex cases live. With each scenario unveiled on the spot, the sessions spark real-time analysis, discussion, and advanced reasoning.

Challenge your clinical thinking, as medical puzzles meet brilliant minds.

The story of Diagnosis began in 2020, when the concept was launched in an online format as a series of video sessions that explored intriguing clinical cases step by step. What started as a digital experiment to bring clinical reasoning closer to students has now evolved into one of the most awaited live scientific events of IMSCB. In 2025, for the first time, Diagnosis is moving to the on-site stage, offering participants the chance to experience clinical analysis in real time, directly alongside physicians and peers.

Diagnosis is a unique scientific event at IMSCB, bringing medical students face to face with real-world clinical reasoning. Each event combines the expertise of physicians with the curiosity and analytical skills of students, creating a unique learning environment where unusual and complex clinical cases are explored step by step.

There will be 7 Diagnosis Events in total, each dedicated to a different specialty: Cardiology, Dermatology, Neurology, Infectious Diseases, Endocrinology, Pediatrics, and Rheumatology. Every session follows the same structure:

  • Three physicians present challenging cases, completely new both to students and to fellow doctors;
  • One student, selected through a competitive process, presents their own carefully prepared case report.

This format ensures that every session blends professional-level expertise with fresh student perspectives, resulting in a dynamic exchange that goes far beyond a traditional lecture.

If you are excited to be a part of this year’s Diagnosis journey and would like the chance to present your own case during one of our events, make sure to submit your clinical case and take your chance to step on the stage as one of the 7 selected students.
