The only payment method is online payment, with a debit/credit card. Confirmation of the payment and validation of the account will happen immediately after completing the process, for all online payments.

There is NO early bird/late fee. On-Site Participants/Presenters are limited to 700 places.

This year, the entrance ticket (Bronze Package) costs 65 euros for non-presenters and 55 euros for presenters.  It consists of one keynote lecture, two workshops and one conference or roundtable. In addition, you will gain access to the Science Fair! Connect with scientists and students involved in research from all around the world by listening to short presentations about the scientific opportunities in their university and discovering how to access them.

All participants whose abstracts are accepted will benefit from a 10 euro REFUND! In this way. The IMSCB team is encouraging as many participants as possible to submit their work!

Because no IMSCB is complete without its Oral Presentations, there will be 100 memberships (of the said 700) reserved for On-Site Presenters ONLY, between August 20th and October 15th (abstract submission deadline), in order to ensure their spot at the Congress, you can submit your abstract starting the first day of Registrations.

This year, there are two categories for the Oral Presentations: PowerPoint presentations and Poster presentations. Both the PowerPoint and the Poster presentations will have the following sections: Fundamental Sciences, Clinical Sciences and Surgical Sciences.

You may submit as many abstracts as you would like, but if more than one of your abstracts are accepted, please note that you will be contacted by our team to select which one of them will be presented, given that you can not present more than one abstract, regardless if they:

  • are in different contests (Poster versus PowerPoint Presentations)

  • are in different sections (Fundamental/Clinical/Surgical Sciences)

  • are in different categories (Review/Original Study/Case Report).

The memberships for On-site Presenters whose abstract is not accepted by the Scientific Committee assigned for each category will automatically be turned into On-site Participant memberships. No refunds will be made in case you decide not to participate in the IMSCB because your abstract was not accepted.

The payment period will end when the maximum number of 700 participants is reached or on November 5th, whichever comes first.

On-site Participants and Presenters will have the chance to come to our live Scientific, Social and Cultural events, interact with the speakers and other participants, have access to the Opening Ceremony and receive our IMSCB welcoming kit.

After the 16th of October, the reserved memberships that were not purchased will be redistributed for purchase as On-Site Participant memberships. The memberships for On-site Presenters whose abstract is not accepted by the Scientific Committee assigned for each category will automatically be turned into On-site Participant memberships.

All the online payments made with a debit/credit card are processed outside our website, through a third party payment service, therefore no account data will be processed by the IMSCB. For more information, check section 6. Fees & Payment in the Terms and Conditions.

Other things you might want to know about

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are not possible except in the special situation specified down below.

To the extent that the 2023 edition of IMSCB is postponed or cancelled, the membership will be automatically transferred for the 2023 Postponed edition, if the participant does not ask for a refund in the My Account special section.

The Organising Committee reserves the right to cancel the event in case of Force Majeure. Refunds will be made within the limit of the spendings made until the moment of cancellation. The exact amount that will be refunded will be announced at the moment of the cancellation, taking into consideration the refund taxes imposed by the bank. The Organising Committee also takes responsibility to announce the participants of any changes in the development of the Congress, by means of social media and email addresses corresponding to the participants’ accounts.

In case of cancellation of the event for reasons which are not in the sphere of responsibility of the Organising Committee, it will be announced as soon as the cause occurs with a maximum delay of 24 hours.

IMSCB will not reimburse any taxes, related or not to the Congress such as, but not limited to fees for: transportation, accomodation, sanitary measures (vaccination, tests or isolation).

What should I do if I change my mind about the package I purchased?

In this case, the participant will have the opportunity to  upgrade their package by paying the price difference, but only before the booking process which starts on the 19th of November 2023. He/she will have to access the “Fees” page on our website, and choose the option that fits him/her best. Downgrades or refunds are not possible.

I changed my mind, I want to submit an Abstract!

An On-site Participant can submit an abstract and become an On-site Presenter, but only before the abstract submission deadline, on 15th of October.

Can I use other currency than euro or RON?

If you want to pay the fee in any other currency than euro, the fee will be converted to euro according to the exchange rate on the day of payment and then to its equivalent in RON.

Can I buy the participation for a friend?

One participant can acquire one’s package and pay the fee on one’s personal account.

My Abstract was not accepted, what can I do?

The memberships for On-site Presenters whose abstract is not accepted by the Scientific Committee assigned for each of the Category will automatically be turned into On-site Participant memberships. No refunds will be made in case you decide not to participate in the IMSCB because your abstract was not accepted. Changing from a higher membership to a lower one is not possible.

When should I pay?

You can ensure your spot at the Congress as an On-Site Presenter by buying the membership between August 25th and October 15th (abstract submission deadline); you can submit your abstract starting the first day of Registrations. After the 15th of October, the reserved memberships that were not purchased will be redeployed for purchase to On-Site Participants. The memberships of Presenters whose abstract is not accepted by the Scientific Committee assigned for each category will automatically be transformed into On-site Participant memberships. The payment period will end when the maximum number of 700 participants is reached or on the 5th of November, whichever comes first.

How can I pay for the IMSCB Merchandise?

Another utility ensured by the IMSCBracelet is shopping from our on-site IMSCB Merch Store. Each participant will have the option of buying payment credits for their IMSCBracelet in the section My Account on imscbucharest.com. Those credits can be spent at the on-site IMSCB Merch Store.

In order to purchase merchandise from the IMSCB Merch Store, you first have to fund your IMSCBracelet with enough payment credits for the wanted product. We are not responsible for any extra amount of payment credits left on your bracelet at the end of the transaction. No refunds will be made in this situation, so please make sure you fund your bracelet only with the amount needed for the said product.
