The IMSSB Art Exhibition

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Welcome to the 2021 IMSSB Art Exhibition!

This programme, organised by the IMSSB Department for Arts and Culture, is designed for participants that wish to express their creativity and interest in visual arts in a congress-wide art exhibition. This year’s exhibition will be held in a hybrid format. The digital artwork received (Digital Art, Digital Collages and Photography) will be showcased on a dedicated page of the IMSSB website, whereas physical form artwork (Classic Canvas) will be displayed in an on-site exposition.

Submissions should be in line with this year’s theme: “A Social Metamorphosis”. This theme is meant to suggest our individual identity during the pandemic, the psychological and social impact the pandemic had over us all.

The 2022 Art Exhibition contains three sections:

Classic Canvas

Traditional visual artworks such as paintings, drawings, and collages, created on physical surfaces like paper or canvas. Feel free to get creative with the physical surface and materials used to bring your ideas into being!

*Participants who choose this section, will have to bring their piece of art in a physical format, in order to be exhibited.

*In order to enroll in this section, you firstly have to send us a request via email, at office@imscbucharest.com. See chapter III. Submission Condition for more details.

Digital Art

Visual artwork rendered through digital methods, utilizing digital drawing or graphic design software and collages rendered through both digital and physical methods. Graphic pads allowed!

*Digital Art and Collages can only be submitted online.

Photography

Pictures captured on an analog or digital camera. Photo editing by the photographer is allowed!

*In order to enroll in one of the online sections (Photography, Digital Art and Digital Collages), you have to submit your artwork via email, at office@imscbuchatest.com, in one of the accepted formats. See chapter III. Submission Condition for more details.

There will be one winner for each category.

  • There will be one winner for each category and they will receive a prize suitable for their category.
  • For each category, the winner will be determined by the IMSSB participants. They can pick their favourites using an online voting system.
  • Any participant can submit artwork to one or more categories of their choice.

Submissions are LIMITED to IMSSB participants only.

Submission requirements:

  • allowed formats for the online exposition: .pdf
  • resolution: minimum 1920×1080.
  • Artwork in physical form will only be accepted for the canvas section.
  • All participants submitting artwork consent to their work being exhibited on the IMSSB website and the IMSSB physical Art Exhibition.

For submissions, please contact office@imscbucharest.com using the following format:

The email’s subject should contain the words “Art Exhibition”, followed by the full name of the participant (e.g. Art Exhibition – John Doe)

The body of the email should contain the following information:

  • “Art Exhibition”, followed by the appropriate category (Classic Canvas / Digital Art and Digital Collages / Photography)
  • Participant’s full name
  • E-mail address used for registering on the IMSSB official website
  • Title of the artwork
  • Attached artwork (for online categories only)
  • A short description of their artwork
